| Project Earth is a full 3D real-time strategy in space. The gameplay takes the
best and proven elements of the RTS gengre, and combine the need for both quick
thinking and long-term strategies. The user interface is intuitive and very
adaptive and features for the first time ever in a 3D space RTS game, the
ability for the player to have complete freedom of the camera movement. The
space-opera-like storyline in Project Earth was written to capture the
imagination of the player. Giant spaceships and exploding planets are just the
background for the story that really evolves around human emotions.

In Project Earth we join the human race in a period of expansion where space
seems infinite and the boundaries are undefined. In this future, computers are
endlessly more powerful than today, but still cannot beat the power of the human
mind. The most sophisticated usage for the latter is for commanding the
spaceships of Earth's fleet. One out of a billion people has the capability to
run so-called Bahamuts, motherships that are the essence of any space fleet.
Such people are neurally connected to the mothership and are able to virtually
manage all of its functions. Such people are called sundivers.
As one of the lucky few who can call themselves by that name you find yourself
joined by two other Bahamuts on a mission of utmost importance. Since the
beginning of space travel, Earth has only managed to colonize one other planet,
Cognita in the Alpha Centauri A system. This is the only place where humans can
not just survive, but lead a life just like on their home planet. Further
searches have now discovered a third "Earth" near Aldebaran, one of the Taurus
constellation's stars, 68 light years from Earth.
Mankind prepares the fleet that is supposed to colonize the new planet, and this
fleet is lead by David, the most talented Sundiver to come around in a long
time. But when the fleet is ready to go, a strange comet appears out of nowhere,
heading to Earth. When David sends a recon group, they are "greeted" by alien
warships hiding in the comet's tail. That's where the game begins...
