Kenji Miyazawa is known today as one of Japan's most beloved modern poets. A writer heart and soul, Kenji taught and worked in the fields while writing books of poetry and children's stories that were never fully appreciated until his untimely death at age 37. His stories were fanciful and magical and this story is told in the same way. Even if you have never heard his name before, you will never forget the life of Kenji Miyazawa.
Review:
Spring and Chaos touched me in a way that no other film has for years. There is something just magical about the images used, and standard animation is combined with CG in a breathtaking way. The best scene in the movie is the dream sequence which is done entirely in colored pencil. The music is also eerie and wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about this movie. Like "Night on the Galactic Railroad," the characters in this movie are nearly all feline, but some how it fits the story perfectly.
Well, what can i say about this movie.....
It's a true masterpiece. Nothing more to be said.
