| Finally it appears on SR. The good 'ol Amiga :D.
This classic gaming system was the first (of many ;)) I owned and I still feel like it's the best. So I've been digging around a bit and I've found approx. 2400 games for you :D.
Of course I hope that all these work, but I have no time to test 2400 games. But so far no .adf (Amiga disk image) has failed me, if it did a retry cured it. The amiga is rocksolid :D.
Now all of you out there without an amiga (my father sold mine :'( )would prolly think: "Why's he releasing this stuff when he knows we can't use it?" ... No fear WinUAE is here, that's right the best emulator I've ever seen, works like a charm... but :P ... It takes a pretty wild machine. I mean I've run it on an AMD K6-2 500 MHz, but I had to set it to only refresh every 2nd frame, the cpu simply wasn't fast enough. Now my own T-Bird 1.2 GHz does the trick, so I'd recommend 1 GHz if you wanna see all frames, if not a 500 MHz refreshing every 2nd frame will do the trick.
Now I won't write a looong tutorial on how to get WinUAE (I figured it out so can you ;)) but after experimenting a bit I found what I think is the best setup, and I've included that one. So be sure to grap that archive and place it in WinUAE/configurations and load it when WinUAE is started. In that archive will also be the roms for the Amiga 500 and Amiga 1200, Amiga 500 works best though when executing the game it gives an error saying that the checksum is wrong and that you may have a corrupt rom. Even if that's right it still works, so just press OK and get on with it :D.
The best way to learn WinUAE is to mess around with the options look in all sub categories and find out what you need to change. My config will work for most, but sometimes you may have to tweak the settings a bit.
But anyways if you have problems with it catch me on IRC or PM me in the forum, if I get enough of one questions I'll post the 'fix' in a thread.
To make everything easier I've created .rar archives which contain games starting with the letter of that package. I have no intention to start listing all the games that are in there, but I've found most of those I hoped to find :D
