| Ninja Scroll was once rented by somebody in my co-op and left out in the common room. For the next three days it was on literally all the time. There isn't much plot or dialogue to worry about, nor do you have to watch the movie from the beginning to really appreciate it, because Ninja Scroll is hack-and-slash at its finest. The main character is a total bad-ass, the girl is hot but tragic, the bad guys are utterly eviland with freakish powers, and the blood rarely stops flowing for long. I think my video store put it best when they wrote on the box "OH MY GOD, this movie totally fried my brain!" It's gruesomeno-brainer entertainment.
One of the most violent anime's ever, this great animation deserves a place in your collection.
